Farvel Copenhagen Tuesday 21st November, 2006 - 10:56am Copenhagen
The Lakes

farvel (et) goodbye;

Farvel to the sun glistening over the lakes.

Farvel to the church bells that chime on the hour.

Farvel to saying the mouthful that is my street name (Guldbergsgade) to the taxi driver driving me home.

Farvel to eating sandwiches with a knife and fork.

Farvel to being pushed and shoved while getting on a bus.

Farvel to saying "Sorry?" when I don't understand.

Farvel to the Danish banks, who finally gave me a bank account after 6 months.

Farvel to drinking from cow horns.

Farvel to driving on the wrong side of the road.

Farvel to Tommy Seebach, your memory will be shared with one and all :)

Farvel to Princess Mary, maybe next time we can get together for that beer?

Farvel to the bike lanes I had the pleasure of skating on.

Farvel to bikes, thousands of bikes.

Farvel to my second home, Tivoli, you will be dearly missed,

and finally.....

Farvel to the wonderful people I've met during my time here, I shall be back for I have not yet mastered the skill of every Great Dane.... opening a beer bottle with another bottle :)

Well Indy is packed, amazing how much that girl can carry and I just have a few things to finish off and then I'm off an away to the Port of Esbjerg where I shall sail into the night to conquer my next quest, just like a real viking! Hehe, maybe in a much larger boat :)

Back to home

"opening a beer bottle with another bottle"

He he. When you come back we can take a round of beers and let you open them all until you get it :-)
