The magical place that is Tivoli has opened it's doors again in Copenhagen for the third and final season of the year. It was not long ago that Tivoli had been transformed into a pumpkin wonderland for Halloween and now it has been transformed yet again into a Winter wonderland for Christmas. The gardens were now filled with an abundance of Christmas Trees, a Nisse playground and Christmas Market stalls serving warm gløgg (mulled wine) and æbleskiver (pancake balls). However, my favourite display was the impressive giant Snow Globe outside the Nimb building.
   
After wandering the gardens, I sought after tickets for the Crazy Christmas Cabaret (CCC) "Bored of the Rings" performed by the London Toast theatre company in the Glass Hall inside Tivoli. The show is non-stop laughter! It is certainly not your conventional interpretation of the Lord of the Rings and this is what makes it a lot of fun. "A crazy cocktail of Monty Python, Marx Brothers, stand-up, slapstick, songs, satire and audience participation" One thing that put me and everyone in stitches everytime, was Legoklods the Elf and his Grand Jeté's as he moved around the staged. Hilarious! But I guess you had to be there :) The show is performed in English but with plenty of doses of Danish humour and if it is one thing, the Danes know how to laugh at themselves. This show is definitely a must see if you are in Copenhagen this Christmas.

Wow! That Snow Globe is gorgeous!! Tivoli has to be the happiest place on earth!!
