The Cubans love having their photograph taken and there is one particular Cuban who, if there was such a thing, would win the award for the most photographed Cuban. She appears in almost every guide book and travel blog and I could hardly come away from Cuba without having a photo of none other than Grandma. Sitting perched up a concrete ledge in Old Town Havana, she poses for tourists for one convertible peso and she's certainly not hard to miss. She also has her own bodyguards, well two of her friends who sit by her to make sure no-one takes any sneaky photos.
A little research and I found that her name is Graciela Gonzalez and she is 84 years old. Due to her fame, I suspect she does quite well out of her little gig too.

How much did you tip her mates for taking your photo with her? They were mortified that I gave her the cash, and not to her mate....outrageous extortionists!!
